This is what you get if you assign each of the base letters in the
sequence to one of four shafts on the loom, and then weave
"as drawn in" with a 2/2 twill tie-up.
Each of the base letters in the
sequence is assigned to one of four blocks in a block crackle
(twill form). The pattern is the same but enlarged, and the areas
are contrasted by sub-patterns...
... a sub-pattern I like particularly well is diamond-twill.
But the pattern is much enlarged. Not very much of the sequence
is shown in this image.
Now assign a color to each base letter. I chose 'aqua' for adenine,
'cerise' for cytosine, 'gold' for guanine, and 'terra cotta' for
thymine, but one could use any colors that
please. Here is the cloth in plain weave. Note that this is only
base letters 1-240 !
